Milla Jovovich sends in the clones after Tokyo is turned into a sinkhole. Onwards to Arcadia and a reunion with Ali Larter, who can’t remember anything about before. Take a number, Ali! Even with nuclear explosions and plane crashes, this edition of the video-game franchise is like The Matrix in slow-motion. Knowing they’re flogging a dead horse, Screen Gems slapped it together in 3D, so there’s a lot of shooting stuff directly at the camera – really, a lot. Despite the familiar zombie stomping groove, its plastic fakeness resembles Milla’s UltraViolet flop more than any of the previous Evils. Tomandandy’s music is pretty good, though.
