The BBC breaks open the costume cupboard for these all-star adaptations of the adventures of two of Agatha Christie’s second-tier crime-fighting sleuths.
David Walliams and Jessica Raine are Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, beekeepers in the 50s as Blighty turns from the Nazi menace to face the Cold War winds blowing from the east.
This week, the couple are returning from a break in Paris when they are thrust into an international espionage conspiracy.
It’s all spiffingly good fun, and home in time for nanny’s biccies and ginger ale.
