Channel 4: PREMIERE Saterday 14 November, 1.10am
The title doesn’t lie. Mannequin refitter Elijah Wood has serious mommy issues. Whatever meds he’s on, they’re not enough. Ask any of the young women he scalps.
Shot mainly from Wood’s point of view (although this gimmick is not adhered to as strictly as Robert Montgomery’s 1946 thriller The Lady in the Lake), this kerb-crawling, cyber-stalking update of William Lustig’s notorious 1980 shocker offers little more than the gruesome activities of a poor-man’s Norman Bates. Through a Peeping Tom lens.
Director Franck Kalfoun previously made the underground parking-lot horror flick P2. This one’s a dead end.
