Ghost Rider, Blade and Moon Knight

The following is a rumour and should be taken with a huge pinch of salt (rumours we certainly hope are proven true though, it should be added)

Marvel and Netflix are enjoying a very productive working relationship. Together, they have brought us Daredevil and Jessica Jones since the beginning of 2015 and both have been well-received.

On the back of that success, it was announced that The Punisher, who debuted in Daredevil season two, would be getting his own solo adventure too on the streaming platform, returning Jon Bernthal to the role.

Now, a resurfaced rumour suggests that Marvel is planning to bring a few more iconic characters to the small screen as it continues to build its television universe (with Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders all on the way).

Daredevil Jessica Jones

Yes, according to MovieCreedLive¬†(via Comic Book Resources), Blade, Moon Knight and Ghost Rider may well be getting their own¬†shows. Now, it must be said that this report offers very little further insight and only cites “sources.” Take it with a huge pinch of salt for now.

However, even if their report isn’t true, it was reported last year that Marvel and Netflix were looking beyond The Defenders for TV shows, with Blade and Ghost Rider getting a mention in CinemaBlend’s report, which cited Heroic Hollywood and the self-proclaimed Scoop King Umberto Gonzalez as their source. It would only be logical for Marvel and Netflix to delve deeper into the character catalogue available to them. Blade was both a movie trilogy and a short-lived TV series, which is why we’re thinking Ghost Rider might be the most likely of the three.

We know that at least the Punisher element to that story was on the money and it’s possible that the studios are indeed considering projects for Blade and Ghost Rider, just putting them on the back-burners until they work their way through their current slate of releases.
