Though it’s still up in the air just how the Hulk will work his way into the upcoming MCU outing, in a recent interview Mark Ruffalo talks Thor: Ragnarok, calling it an “intergalactic buddy road movie”.
During an interview with ET Online, Ruffalo – while promoting his new movie Now You See Me 2 with co-star Woody Harrelson – opened up about Ragnarok, his involvement and even a little bit about Cate Blanchett’s character.
Mark Ruffalo talks Thor: Ragnarok
You can watch the clip of the interview here:
Selling it perfectly, Ruffalo says ”It’s an intergalactic buddy road movie with Banner and Thor.” We’re already on board.
When talking about his excitement for his return to the MCU, he says “I think it will be smashing. You’ll see a lot more Hulk and I think it’ll…” but Harrelson gets in there first, asking the fanboy questions, if the Hulk will be “Hulk-ier.”
“The Hulk gets Hulk-ier,” replies Ruffalo, “The Hulk Hulks out. Hulk-ier and bigger.”
Is he hinting at some sort of Planet Hulk story adaptation? Because we really hope so.
And hey, it has to go better than that other time the two tried the buddy cop thing, right?
A Hela casting choice
Speaking on Cate Blanchett, who is one of the MCU’s latest additions, Ruffalo comments on her performance as the villainous Hela, saying “She plays the worst of the worst. So evil,” Ruffalo teases. “She is going to kill us. It’s such a great part she gets to play.”
No work from him on what we can expect from Tom Hiddleston in what may or may not be his final appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Loki – we really hope not – but this has already given us a great insight into what to expect next.
Thor: Ragnarok thunders into cinemas on the 3rd November 2017.
