Stan Lee has been letting it all out recently. Earlier in the week, he revealed that Chris Evans was the Marvel actor he’d bonded with the most — and now, the comic book legend has revealed his all-time favourite superhero movie is Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, released back in 2002.

During a recent Facebook Live Q&A session with fans, Lee said:

“I think my favorite comic book movie was the first one that was such a hit, the first Spider-Man. After that, everything else seemed easy.”

The first Spider-Man movie in Sam Raimi’s trilogy grossed $821.7 million at the worldwide box office and was well-received critics, with only dissenting voices aimed at Tobey Maguire’s controversial casting as Peter Parker.
