They’re two of the biggest characters in the most-popular television series on the planet, but there’s a good chance Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will never share a scene together on Game of Thrones.
That’s according to Harington himself, who admitted during a recent interview that he doesn’t know if he’ll ever act alongside Clarke.
“I don’t know whether I will [work with Clarke]! Haven’t got a clue whether we’ll ever meet,” he told Shortlist. “We’ve never shared a single scene, so it might be dynamite, or it might be complete tosh.”
Harington also said he believed it was the right time for Snow to depart Castle Black, having served the Night’ Watch loyalfully and being betrayed, then murdered for his various troubles.
“I’ve been there long enough now. I think it’s the right time to fuck off,” he said.
He continued: “You can only stay static in one huge story for so long. I think I’d been there a little too long.”
Snow now commands his army against the evil Ramsay Bolton for Winterfell in Sunday night’s Battle of the Bastards episode, widely-anticipated to be the greatest spectacle in the history of television.
